About role Prospero are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Textiles Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Liverpool area. Please see below for further details: Textiles Teacher Location - Liverpool, L12 Position - Textiles Teacher Start date - April 2026 Full time/part time - Full time Minimum rate of pay - Paid to scale Hours - 8:00 am - 16:00 pmRESPONSIBILITIES Development & Delivery:Planning and delivering engaging textiles lessons, including a range of topics Practical Instruction:Demonstrating techniques using a range of resources Student Assessment:Setting, marking, and recording student work, and providing constructive feedback. Health & Safety:Maintaining a safe classroom environment, managing machinery, and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies. Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students' overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members. Safeguarding: Ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when requiredEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Previous experience working with young people in a school setting Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
