Key Responsibilities
The KS2 Teacher will:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the full KS2 curriculum, meeting statutory requirements
Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and motivated
Use assessment data effectively to track pupil progress, inform teaching, and identify interventions
Differentiate learning for pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND or EAL needs
Promote positive behaviour management strategies and foster resilience and self-confidence
Encourage pupil engagement in extracurricular activities, school events, and enrichment programs
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to ensure consistent standards and a cohesive teaching approach
Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement, and progress, and provide feedback to parents and leadership
Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practice
Support school initiatives, including literacy, numeracy, digital learning, and wellbeing programs
Model high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and conduct in line with school policies
The Ideal Candidate
The school is seeking a KS2 Teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching KS2 pupils , ideally across Years 3–6
Is enthusiastic, creative, and committed to inspiring pupils
Can differentiate teaching to meet diverse learning needs, including SEND and EAL
Uses effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive classroom culture
Is committed to fostering a love of learning and developing life-long skills
Works well collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider community
Is adaptable, resilient, and ready to start ASAP
Desirable experience:
Leading subjects or initiatives across KS2
Experience with digital learning platforms
Running extracurricular clubs or enrichment activities
Knowledge of current national curriculum requirements and assessment frameworks
