Key Responsibilities

As a KS2 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering dynamic and engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum

  • Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL pupils

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Monitoring pupil progress and analysing assessment data to inform interventions

  • Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and effective learning habits

  • Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues

  • Supporting school initiatives, extracurricular programs, and enrichment activities

  • Collaborating with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leadership to maintain high standards

  • Contributing to school development plans, curriculum enhancements, and teaching strategies

  • Maintaining professional standards and adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching Years 3–6 in a primary school setting

  • Be confident in classroom management and proactive in addressing challenges

  • Have experience supporting SEND and EAL learners

  • Be passionate, enthusiastic, and adaptable to new teaching approaches

  • Possess excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

  • Bring creativity, innovation, and energy to lessons and school initiatives

Desirable attributes include:

  • Experience leading a subject or school initiative

  • Familiarity with digital teaching platforms and interactive resources

  • Experience in extracurricular clubs or enrichment programs

  • Knowledge of assessment frameworks and intervention strategies
