Key Responsibilities
As a KS2 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering dynamic and engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL pupils
Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Monitoring pupil progress and analysing assessment data to inform interventions
Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and effective learning habits
Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
Supporting school initiatives, extracurricular programs, and enrichment activities
Collaborating with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leadership to maintain high standards
Contributing to school development plans, curriculum enhancements, and teaching strategies
Maintaining professional standards and adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Years 3–6 in a primary school setting
Be confident in classroom management and proactive in addressing challenges
Have experience supporting SEND and EAL learners
Be passionate, enthusiastic, and adaptable to new teaching approaches
Possess excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Bring creativity, innovation, and energy to lessons and school initiatives
Desirable attributes include:
Experience leading a subject or school initiative
Familiarity with digital teaching platforms and interactive resources
Experience in extracurricular clubs or enrichment programs
Knowledge of assessment frameworks and intervention strategies
