Nurture-based approaches Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with varying levels of complex needs.
Assist in delivering differentiated learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and positive engagement in learning.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
Implement personalised strategies and interventions to support communication, sensory needs, and wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with external professionals, pastoral teams, and school leadership.
Record observations, track progress, and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Promote independence, confidence, and social development for students who require additional care and guidance. Essential Requirements Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH pupils in educational, care, or youth support settings.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to supporting pupils with complex challenges.
Full-time availability from the start of the summer term.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel).
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people. Desirable Skills & Qualifications Team Teach or other behaviour intervention training.
Experience in specialist provisions (SEMH schools, SEND schools, PRUs, or alternative education).
Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, or de-escalation techniques.
Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Youth Work, or Health & Social Care. What We Offer Competitive weekly pay through PAYE.
