Receptionist
Salary: £25,185(depending on role and placement)
Hours: 21 per week over 3 days (some flexibility)
Contract: to 31st March 2026
Venue : A Children's Centre in Liverpool
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Receptionist to provide front-of-house support and ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors and callers. You will play an important role in greeting clients, managing enquiries, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations within the centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet visitors in a warm and professional manner, ensuring they are signed in and directed appropriately
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries, passing information to relevant staff members
- Maintain reception and waiting areas to ensure they remain tidy, welcoming, and presentable
- Handle incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, filing, and data entry
- Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and room bookings
- Support staff with general administrative needs where required
- Maintain accurate records and update systems as necessary
- Liaise with internal and external contacts to support effective communication
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer-facing role (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, courteous, and confident when dealing with visitors and callers
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
- DBS: Enhanced DBS may be required depending on placement
- References: Two suitable references required plus right to work in the UK evidence
