Serving a diverse and growing community, the school has a strong reputation for high expectations, structured leadership and a warm, inclusive culture.
With over 600 pupils and a large staff body, the school requires a dedicated HR professional to ensure that recruitment, compliance and staffing processes are managed efficiently and in line with safeguarding and statutory requirements.
The Role
As HR & Staffing Administrator, you will work closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager to coordinate all aspects of staff administration. • Managing pre-employment checks, DBS clearance and single central record updates
• Maintaining accurate personnel files and compliance documentation
• Supporting induction processes for new staff
• Monitoring absence records and supporting return-to-work processes
• Drafting contracts, variation letters and HR correspondence
• Liaising with payroll providers to ensure accurate staff payments
• Producing staffing reports for governors and senior leaders
The School Environment
The school operates from a modernised site with dedicated leadership and administrative offices. There is a strong emphasis on clear systems, safeguarding rigour and professional standards.
The leadership team is visible and collaborative, and support staff are highly valued within the school structure. Despite being a large primary setting, the culture is supportive and well-organised, with defined responsibilities and clear processes.
Who We’re Looking For
• Experience in HR or school staffing administration
• Strong knowledge of safer recruitment and safeguarding compliance
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
• Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
• Confidence using HR systems and school MIS platforms
• Professional communication skills
Why Join This School?
• Well-led and highly regarded primary school
• Structured systems and strong safeguarding culture
• Opportunity to play a central role in staffing and compliance
• Competitive local authority salary
• Stable and supportive working environment
This role would suit an experienced administrator who understands the importance of compliance, organisation and professionalism within a busy school environment.
If you are ready to take on a key operational HR role within a respected Liverpool primary school, we would welcome your CV.
