ProgrammeWe’re recruiting a Sports Development Assistant Intern to support the development and rollout of a new ‘Active Run’programme delivered in primary schools across the North West.

Duties and responsibilities
The will involve:

• Programme planning,
• Resource development
• School engagement
• Supporting delivery

Perfect for students passionate about physical activity, youth sport, and community development who want experience inprogramme design and impact.

Skills and experience
Subject Knowledge

• Understanding of sports development principles and physical activity promotion
• Knowledge of youth sport and physical activity delivery in school or community settings
• Awareness of programme planning, monitoring, and evaluation (desirable)

Key Skills (minimum three)

• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with schools, colleagues, and young people
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when required
• Basic data collection and reporting skills

Experience

• Experience supporting sport or physical activity programmes (placement, volunteering, or university projects acceptable)
• Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
• Experience in schools or community sport settings (desirable)
