We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Humanities Teacher to join a supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Speke on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

The school supports pupils with a range of special educational needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties, and provides a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The Role:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons across subjects such as History, Geography and/or Religious Studies, tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils. You will work closely with support staff and the wider SEN team to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Humanities lessons adapted to meet the needs of pupils with SEN.
• Differentiate learning to support students with a range of abilities and learning styles.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and SEN professionals to support pupil development.
• Promote positive behaviour and support students' social and emotional development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level.
• Experience working with students with SEN, or a strong interest in SEN education.
• Strong classroom management skills and a patient, supportive approach.
• A passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.
