Account Manager - Cloud & Datacentre Infrastructure (Hybrid)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE + Uncapped OTE
Sector: Managed Services & IT Solutions The Opportunity We are currently partnering with one of the UK’s leading independent IT and communications experts to find a commercially minded Account Manager to join their Datacentre & Managed Services division. With over 25 years of industry experience and an award winning workplace culture, our client is looking for a solutions specialist who can bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and business value. This is a role that focuses on driving growth across the managed private cloud, complex connectivity, and data protection portfolio. The Role This isn't just about managing a desk, it’s about shaping complex infrastructure deals. You will work collaboratively with internal Account Managers to identify opportunities within existing portfolios, while also having the autonomy to hunt and land your own new logo business. Key Responsibilities: * Drive Growth: Own and deliver a personal sales quota focused on private cloud, datacentre, and managed services. * Strategic Collaboration: Partner with wider sales teams to lead and close complex technical deals. * Pipeline Generation: Balance internal lead conversion with proactive direct prospecting and networking. * Solution Design: Translate technical requirements into commercially viable, customer centric proposals. * Expert Influence: Act as the lead consultant during customer engagements, communicating the value of resilient infrastructure. What We’re Looking For You don’t need to be a career long engineer, but you must be comfortable navigating complex B2B technology conversations. Essential: * Proven track record in B2B solutions focused sales. * The ability to build deep relationships and sell collaboratively within a team structure. * A hunter-gatherer mindset: comfortable with both account expansion and cold prospecting. * A full UK driving license and the ability to commute to the Liverpool office 3 days a week. Preferred: * Direct experience selling Datacentre, Cloud, or Managed Services. * Experience acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support other sales team members. * A history of landing new logo clients and successfully scaling their service consumption.
