R&D Manager

We have been retained on behalf of our client to source an R&D Tax Manager. The role is working for a high-profile, award-winning R&D specialist business. Tech led they are expanding and in a period of tremendous growth. With impressive Manchester city centre offices, they are offering hybrid working and a highly competitive package.

The business was set up by a qualified Tax Accountant who has developed unique and market leading and award-winning software and has grown an exceptional team including the recent addition of an R&D Director. They have robust processes, and they are extremely strong technically. His role moving forward will be to develop the growth of the overall business and he requires an experienced R&D Manager or someone ready to step into the role. Their clients are a broad range across various sectors including blue chip.

With a small team to manage you will be responsible for the final sign-off on any claims having analysed the reports through to supporting the sales team with technical questions. The future of the role is as much as you wish to make of it – the R&D team needs to grow further, and exciting times are ahead.

The chosen candidate should have recent significant R&D experience from understanding how to amend and file tax returns and reviewing complex reports, through to an in-depth understanding and application of recent legislation and pending changes. You should also have an accountancy or tax qualification.
