Chef de Partie Breakfast

As a Chef de Partie you're a confident chef capable of running your own section in the kitchen whilst simultaneously supporting the more junior team members. Always ready to ‘hit the ground running’ whilst enjoying the fast pace of the kitchen, consistently producing top quality dishes under pressure. We are happy to develop and train any capable and willing Head Chefs of the future! In return we ask for your full concentration and commitment to delivering high quality products to our guests at all times. We are looking for a Demi Chef de Partie to join our experienced and hard-working colleagues on a full time basis (40 hours over five days) that would be happy to work as part of the team!
PLEASE NOTE: we are looking for the successful candidate to work mostly Breakfast shifts, with only occasional coverage in our evening service - perfect if you are an early bird!
Responsibilities of a Chef de Partie:
- Be predominantly responsible for the hotels breakfast service 5 shifts a week - this includes being in early to prepare for the start of breakfast service and managing the demand of all breakfast items day by day, ensuring nothing runs out or that there are not major delays during service
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge in all government Health and Food Safety legislation including HACCP, ensuring all necessary checks are completed throughout the kitchen (both quality and safety checks)
- Displaying the right temperament to successfully run service in the absence of Senior Chefs, promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- Ensuring all items served are always at their best & to the standards as agreed with the team but in line with brand expectations, ensuring all Allergen information is readily available
- Making sure food items are secure and stored safely - keeping stocks replenished to minimise waste and ensuring that all kitchen equipment and environment are hygienic and working properly
About the Hotel
Housed in the magnificent Grade II listed Central Buildings, dating back to 1884, the beautifully restored boutique hotel is steeped in history. The Beatles-inspired hotel features elegantly furnished and individually decorated rooms with specially commissioned artwork.
The hotel has one restaurant, two bars serving light bites and a wide range of drinks, along with hosting some of the city’s top acoustic musicians every Friday and Saturday night. In addition, the hotel boasts 3 meeting and event suites catering for up to 180 guests, all offering ‘Beatles inspired’ iconic photographs of the Fab Four and the latest in audio-visual equipment, creating a playful environment for any event!

Key Information
Salary = £ 26,956.80 per annum
Shifts = 5 shifts per week, 8 hours (exclusive of breaks)
Location = Hard Days Night Hotel, Liverpool, L2 6RR
