Key Responsibilities

As a KS2 Teacher, you will:

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of SEND, EAL, and high-attaining pupils

  • Establish a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Monitor pupil progress and implement interventions where necessary

  • Encourage pupils to develop self-confidence, responsibility, and teamwork skills

  • Maintain regular communication with parents, carers, and colleagues

  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and multidisciplinary teams to support learning

  • Contribute to school development initiatives, curriculum planning, and enrichment programs

  • Uphold professional standards and adhere to all safeguarding policies

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching Years 3–6 in a primary school setting

  • Be skilled in classroom management and able to motivate and engage pupils

  • Demonstrate experience with SEND and EAL support

  • Show enthusiasm, creativity, and adaptability in teaching

  • Possess excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

  • Be committed to professional growth and reflective practice

Desirable:

  • Experience leading a subject area or school project

  • Familiarity with digital teaching platforms and tools

  • Active involvement in extracurricular activities or enrichment programs
