Key Responsibilities
As a KS2 Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across all KS2 subjects
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of SEND, EAL, and high-attaining pupils
Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Monitor pupil progress, analyse assessment data, and deliver targeted interventions
Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and independence in pupils
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies
Support school initiatives, enrichment programs, and extracurricular activities
Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders to enhance teaching and learning standards
Contribute to school improvement plans, curriculum development, and leadership initiatives
Uphold professional standards, safeguarding procedures, and school policies at all times
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have proven experience teaching Years 3–6 in a primary school setting
Be confident with classroom management and proactive in addressing challenges
Have experience supporting SEND and EAL pupils
Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to pupil success
Possess strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate creativity in lesson planning and teaching approaches
Desirable attributes include:
Experience leading a subject or school initiative
Knowledge of digital learning platforms and technology-enhanced teaching
Ability to contribute to extracurricular clubs and enrichment programs
Familiarity with national assessment frameworks and intervention strategies
