Key Responsibilities

As a KS2 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across all KS2 subjects

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of SEND, EAL, and high-attaining pupils

  • Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Monitor pupil progress, analyse assessment data, and deliver targeted interventions

  • Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and independence in pupils

  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies

  • Support school initiatives, enrichment programs, and extracurricular activities

  • Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders to enhance teaching and learning standards

  • Uphold professional standards, safeguarding procedures, and school policies at all times

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have proven experience teaching Years 3–6 in a primary school setting

  • Be confident with classroom management and proactive in addressing challenges

  • Have experience supporting SEND and EAL pupils

  • Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to pupil success

  • Possess strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrate creativity in lesson planning and teaching approaches

Desirable attributes include:

  • Experience leading a subject or school initiative

  • Knowledge of digital learning platforms and technology-enhanced teaching

  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular clubs and enrichment programs
