Student Futures Internship: Periodic Programme Review Researcher

Student Futures is seeking a motivated student or recent graduate to support a university-wide audit examining how the requirements of Periodic Programme Review (PPR) for existing programmes and the validation processes for new degree programmes are being met. Student Futures’ contribution to PPR and programme validation is central to LJMU’s strategic commitment to employability and graduate outcomes and is embedded across all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
The researcher will work closely with the Student Futures Leadership Team to review documentation, identify effective practice, and contribute to recommendations that will shape future curriculum design
• Support the university-wide audit of employability integration across LJMU degree programmes• Review programme and module documentation to identify how the LJMU Nine Skills are embedded and mapped to Learning Outcomes
• Analyse how work-based learning and employer engagement are incorporated within curricula, including authentic projects and live briefs
• Assess how onward career planning is embedded to ensure all students graduate with a clear and robust career plan
• Identify examples of strong practice and areas for further development
• Assist in collating audit findings into clear summaries and reports
• Contribute to recommendations that support consistent employability and career planning across programmes
• Engage with academic and professional services staff to gain insight into curriculum design, quality processes, and validation cycles
