Key Responsibilities
As a KS2 Teacher, your main duties will include:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of SEND, EAL, and higher-achieving pupils
Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Monitoring pupil progress, using assessment data to inform teaching and interventions
Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and social skills
Communicating with parents, colleagues, and external agencies regarding pupil progress
Supporting extracurricular and enrichment programs
Collaborating with teaching assistants and staff to enhance learning outcomes
Contributing to curriculum planning and school improvement initiatives
Adhering to safeguarding policies and professional standards at all times
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has teaching experience in Years 3–6
Can manage classroom behaviour confidently and positively
Has experience supporting SEND and EAL pupils
Is enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable
Demonstrates excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Shows innovation in lesson planning and teaching strategies
Desirable attributes:
Experience leading a subject area or school initiative
Familiarity with digital learning platforms
Participation in extracurricular or enrichment programs
