Reablement Assistant

3 months contract with a local authority

Job Purpose

• To provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals in the community, ensuring they maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing in their own homes. The role involves delivering personal care, supporting daily living skills, promoting independence, and working collaboratively with health and social care professionals to enable individuals to live safely within the community.
  

Key Duties/Accountabilities

• Provide personal care in line with individual support plans, using moving and handling equipment safely.
  
• Support individuals with daily living activities such as cooking, household tasks, personal hygiene, washing clothes, and maintaining their home environment.
  
• Encourage individuals to maximise their independence and develop skills for interdependent or assisted living.
  

Essential Experience Required

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults, older people, or individuals with care needs.
  
• Experience providing personal care and using moving & handling equipment.
  
• Experience working within a health, social care, community, or support-focused environment.
  

Essential Qualifications Required

• The person MUST have an up-to-date face-to-face (Classroom) Moving and Handling Certificate.

• Working hours: 35 hours per week
  
• Location: Upper Baker Street, Liverpool, L6 1NE, United Kingdom
  
• The role requires DBS.
  
• We require one person to cover a post for approximately 3 months, which may possibly be extended.
  
• Please note: We do not offer sponsorship.
  
• The person MUST have an up-to-date face-to-face (Classroom) Moving and Handling Certificate.
  
• Payment is on a bi-weekly basis.
