SPECIALIST SEN TUTORS

Pay: £25-£30 per hour Contract: Temporary | Part-Time | Flexible Hours (choose morning, afternoon, or evening sessions) Prospero Teaching works closely with local councils to provide high-quality, personalised tuition for looked-after children and students with EHCPs. We are seeking dedicated tutors who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and achieve meaningful progress. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Deliver 1:1 tuition in Functional Skills, Maths and/or English, tailored to each learner's needs, abilities, and learning style. Support students with a wide range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, global developmental delay, and communication difficulties. Plan and deliver individualised lessons aligned with EHCP targets or identified support needs. Build trust and engagement through a calm, consistent, and encouraging approach. Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum of 1 year's experience supporting children or young people with SEN in an educational or therapeutic setting. Experience teaching or supporting Functional Skills and/or core subjects (Maths or English). Right to work in the UK. Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check. SEN-related training or qualifications such as Autism, Social Communication, or ABA experience. PGCE or QTS is preferred. Experience working in alternative provisions or outside mainstream classroom environments is an advantage.
