Veterinary Surgeon

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive, well-equipped Tier 3 hospital. This training practice offers exposure to a varied caseload and excellent clinical development, with a strong focus on certificates and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult and perform routine surgeries, including neutering and small procedures
- Provide sole charge at a branch practice (approx. 50% of time), with flexibility for branch-only work supported by the hospital
- Work cases up to a high clinical standard with support from experienced colleagues
- Collaborate with a skilled team, including certificate holders
About the Practice
You’ll be based within a highly equipped hospital featuring:
- Digital X-ray, ultrasound & dental radiography
- Endoscopy and advanced scopes
- CO₂ laser & laparoscopic equipment
- 64-slice CT and 1.5T MRI scanner
The practice also has strong links to an internal referral service, offering excellent support and development opportunities.
Working Pattern
- 4-day week
- Weekend rota: 1 in 8 full weekends OR 2 Saturdays + 1 Sunday in 8 weeks
- Minimal OOH cover for holiday/sickness

About You
- Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with solid GP skills
- Confident with routine surgery and consultations
- Comfortable with some sole charge (or happy with branch-only work)
- A team player with a passion for high clinical standards and development
