About the Role
As a French Teacher, you will deliver engaging and structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging pupils to develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. You will promote cultural understanding alongside language learning, preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and beyond.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality French lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Supporting pupils of varying abilities through differentiated teaching strategies

• Encouraging active participation in speaking and listening exercises

• Using assessment to track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback

• Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

• Supporting extracurricular activities such as language clubs, trips, or cultural events

• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour, engagement, and achievement

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge and fluency in French

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Be able to motivate and engage pupils of all abilities

• Show enthusiasm for promoting cultural awareness and independent learning
