French Teacher - Good Secondary School - Liverpool

This is a full-time, permanent position , available from September or sooner.

About the Role
As a French Teacher, you will deliver engaging and structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging pupils to develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. You will promote cultural understanding alongside language learning, preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and beyond.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality French lessons across KS3 and KS4
Supporting pupils of varying abilities through differentiated teaching strategies
Encouraging active participation in speaking and listening exercises
Using assessment to track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Supporting extracurricular activities such as language clubs, trips, or cultural events
Maintaining high expectations of behaviour, engagement, and achievement
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge and fluency in French
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be able to motivate and engage pupils of all abilities
Show enthusiasm for promoting cultural awareness and independent learning
