This full-time, permanent position commences in September and presents an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate young minds about the complexities of the economic world.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative Economics lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will foster a deep understanding of economic principles, theories, and their real-world applications, preparing students for further study or careers in this field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and school's educational goals.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress through regular feedback and evaluations, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion, and debate.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences department and across the school to enhance the overall learning experience.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics or a closely related discipline.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
• Proven experience teaching Economics at the secondary level, specifically KS4 and KS5.
