Maths Teacher

I am looking for an experienced Maths teacher for a long-term placement in a thriving secondary academy with around 1,100 pupils aged 11–16, part of a respected multi‑academy trust in Merseyside. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in June 2023, you will teach mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE exam preparation. You’ll engage learners of all abilities, deliver well-structured lessons, provide targeted feedback, and support pupils in mastering problem-solving, reasoning, and application skills In a Teaching role, classroom presence and management are important, and a good level of communication is vital to success of this role. Planning, prepping and marking will be expecting as a Maths teacher so is ideally something you should have experience in. Most importantly you should be completely confident in your abilities to conduct a lesson utilising your subject knowledge with the ability to adapt your lessons to the student’s ability. The successful qualified Maths Teacher will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in secondary maths teaching through to GCSE level. Strong behaviour management skills: able to enforce clear routines, set high expectations, and respond firmly and fairly. Thorough understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to the welfare of all pupils. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build respectful, supportive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
