Requirements:

• HLTA Status (preferred) or a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification. A Level 3 Diploma with significant experience will also be considered.
• Proven experience working within an SEN setting (special school or resource provision).
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to get one.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities to whole classes or small groups in the absence of the teacher.
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions for students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Implement positive behaviour strategies and foster a calm, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
• Work closely with the SENCO and Class Teachers to adapt the curriculum for students with diverse learning requirements.
• Assess and record pupil progress, providing vital feedback to staff and parents during review meetings.
