The Role
The school is seeking an experienced and organised Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of the school.
This role will involve managing budgets, monitoring expenditure and supporting the leadership team with financial planning and reporting.
Responsibilities
• Manage the school’s financial systems and processes
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts and budget monitoring statements
• Work with the Headteacher and governors on financial planning
• Oversee procurement processes and supplier contracts
• Manage invoicing, payments and financial records
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements
• Monitor school expenditure and ensure value for money
• Support payroll processes and staff expense claims
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and records
• Liaise with external auditors and financial advisors
Requirements
• Experience working in finance management or school finance
• Strong knowledge of financial systems and accounting procedures
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills
• Ability to manage budgets and financial reporting
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
