A well-regarded faith secondary school in Liverpool is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join its Mathematics department from September . About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering lessons that develop numeracy, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. There may also be opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ confidence and competence in mathematics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing constructive feedback

  • Supporting targeted interventions for pupils who require additional help

  • Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

  • Encouraging enthusiasm for mathematics through enrichment activities

  • Creating an inclusive, well-managed, and stimulating classroom environment

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

  • Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Be able to motivate pupils and encourage a positive attitude to maths

  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative department

  • Be committed to ongoing professional development
