Discovery Internship: Marketing Communications and Audience Engagement Intern (Good Ship Consultancy Limited)

This internship sits within Goodship's marketing, communications, and growth activity. The is designed to support how Goodship builds awareness, engages audiences, and tells its story across digital channels.
The intern will play an active in shaping and sharing content on LinkedIn and Instagram, supporting direct outreach and audience engagement, and helping communicate Goodshipʼs work, values, and thinking in a clear, engaging way. The also includes creating on-brand visual content and supporting simple video-based storytelling.
This is a hands-on where the intern will work closely with the core team, contributing ideas as well as delivering content. There is potential for the to develop into a future position as the business grows.
Duties and responsibilities
Main duties
- Support the planning and delivery of marketing communications activity across LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Create on-brand visual content using Canva, following Goodshipʼs brand guidelines.
- Assist with writing social media posts, captions, and short-form marketing content.
- Support audience engagement and direct outreach activity on LinkedIn.
- Help capture and share stories from projects, partnerships, and internal work.
- Support content creation for a series of vox pop-style interviews, including basic video editing where appropriate.
- Monitor engagement and contribute ideas to improve reach and interaction.

The intern will be based within Goodshipʼs marketing, communications, and growth function, working closely with senior team members. This area of the business focuses on brand visibility, storytelling, audience engagement, and business growth for a purpose-driven agency.

Skills and experience
This is suitable for a Level 6 undergraduate student interested in marketing, communications, and storytelling within a purpose-driven organisation.
