Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons to students at KS3-4, preparing them for academic success and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfil the requirements of the school's curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required.
- Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
- Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the curriculum.
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
- Manage student behaviour in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents.
- Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- QTS
- years of teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of English language and literature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
