Office & HR Administrator - Secondary School - Liverpool
A large and improving 11–18 secondary school in Liverpool is seeking a highly organised and dependable Office & HR Administrator to join its central operations team. Serving a diverse and vibrant community, the school has developed a strong reputation for improving outcomes, strengthening safeguarding procedures and maintaining clear operational systems.
The administrative function is central to the smooth running of the school. This role sits at the heart of staff management processes, compliance and day-to-day office coordination, requiring someone who can balance precision with approachability.
The Role
Working closely with the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will support HR administration alongside broader office responsibilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing staff personnel records and ensuring compliance with safeguarding requirements
• Supporting recruitment processes, including adverts, shortlisting administration and interview coordination
• Processing absence records and maintaining accurate staff data
• Coordinating onboarding checks, including DBS and reference verification
• Assisting with payroll liaison and contract documentation
• Providing administrative support to the wider school office during busy periods
The role demands strong organisational skills and careful attention to confidentiality.

Who We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will:
• Have previous experience in school administration or HR support
• Demonstrate strong organisational and data management skills
• Be confident using MIS systems and Microsoft Office
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience in HR processes within an educational setting would be advantageous.
