Crown Court Fee Earner
Location: Liverpool, (Flexible Office Base)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
The Role:
- Running your own Crown Court caseload on a day-to-day basis
- Preparing case files, bundles and legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and third parties
- Ensuring compliance with legal aid and regulatory requirements
- Supporting case preparation for hearings and trials
- Maintaining accurate file management and case records
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the team
- Experience working within a criminal law environment
- Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proactive, team-oriented and client-focused approach
- Competent using case management systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience handling serious or complex Crown Court matters
- Knowledge of legal aid processes and funding applications
- Additional qualifications (e.g. Duty Solicitor status or CLAS accreditation)
