Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team on a variety of projects. You will work closely with senior QS colleagues, gaining valuable experience in cost management and contract administration while contributing to the successful delivery of construction projects.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
Measuring and valuing work in progress under supervision.
Supporting procurement, sub-contractor liaison, and contract administration.
Preparing interim valuations, progress reports, and variation instructions.
Maintaining accurate project records and assisting with financial reporting.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is eager to develop their career in Quantity Surveying, with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills. You should be proactive, reliable, and capable of working effectively within a busy project team.
The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have:
1-3 years' experience in a QS or related role within construction.
Relevant qualifications or working towards RICS accreditation (HND, BSc, or equivalent).
Basic knowledge of construction contracts (NEC/JCT preferred but not essential).
Strong numeracy, IT skills, and attention to detail.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from senior team members.
