Discovery Internship - Grad Edition: Programming Junior Intern (Omega Life)

SOMA is an all-in-one digital platform designed to streamline every aspect of care management—from medication administration (eMAR) and incident reporting to rostering, finances, and outcomes tracking.
Why Built Internally: Existing commercial systems were fragmented, outdated, and didn’t reflect the real-world workflows of Omega’s children’s residential and supported living services. SOMA was built in-house to ensure flexibility, data accuracy, and a unified digital ecosystem across Omega Life.
Purpose & Industry Impact: SOMA will enable care providers to deliver safer, more efficient, and fully compliant services by integrating live data, AI-driven analytics, and reporting. It aims to set a new industry standard for digital care operations—improving transparency, staff performance, and young people’s outcomes.
Duties and responsibilities
Students would be working directly on the projects:
- Omega Digital system,
- Will be building out small components
- Testing
- De-Bugging
- Pen Testing
- Entering Data
- VR system
- Creating or gathering content, inc 3D models, 360 videos.
- Entering content for lessons,
- Making changes to the environment if ok with Unity.
Skills and experience
Experience using:
