Live-in Carer (Part-Time Support – Accommodation Provided)
Location: South Liverpool
Start Date: Early April
Hours: Approx. 2 hours per day (7 days per week), split morning and evening
Pay: £16 per hour (approx. £224 per week based on 14 hours)
Accommodation: Rent-free, self-contained furnished flat (provided for the convenience of the role, rental value between £850 and £1100 per month)
About the Role
We are seeking a kind, reliable and personable individual to provide light daily support to a woman living with dementia. The role involves short, scheduled support visits each morning and evening.
Accommodation is provided for the convenience of the role and is not offered in lieu of pay. The successful candidate will have sole use of a fully self-contained upstairs flat with two private bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and lounge. Furniture included.
Support needs are currently light. As care needs increase over time, additional paid hours will be offered accordingly.
This role would suit someone studying part-time, semi-retired, or working flexibly who is looking for secure accommodation alongside meaningful paid work.
Key Responsibilities
Morning support (approx. 1 hour):
Support with getting up
Support with breakfast
Gentle prompting and companionship
Evening support (approx. 1 hour):
Support with evening routine
Reassurance and companionship
Observing and communicating any changes in well-being to family members
Paid working time is limited to the agreed morning and evening hours. There is no requirement to remain on call outside these times.
Boundaries of the Role
Light domestic duties directly related to the client may be required (e.g. changing bedding, putting on washing).
This is a support, caring and companionship role.
Must be comfortable living in a household with a dog.
There is a requirement to be present in the house overnight on occasions when the client’s partner is absent, usually Thursday to Sunday nights inclusive.

Previous caring experience (formal or informal) preferred
Patient, kind and confident supporting someone with dementia
Reliable and trustworthy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
DBS checked or willing to undergo a DBS check
Pay & Progression
£16 per hour
Approx. £224 per week based on current hours
Hourly rate remains fixed
Paid hours will increase as care needs grow
