Join our team at the AXA Training Centre and play a vital role in keeping our kitchens running smoothly and efficiently. We’re looking for someone with strong kitchen porter experience. You’ll ensure all catering goods are ordered, received, and distributed accurately and on time — while also supporting with travel packing and loading when needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef and Front of House Manager in ensuring smooth back-of-house operations.
- Manage food, chemical, and cleaning stock levels using Procure Wizard, ensuring accurate ordering, storage, and rotation.
- Oversee food deliveries, storage, and stock control, maintaining full compliance with food safety standards.
- Lead, rota, and support the kitchen porter team to maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas.
- Monitor food safety using Navitas systems, ensuring correct temperatures and traceability for all products.
- Ensure all food hygiene, COSHH, and health & safety policies are consistently met and documented.
- Process purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices accurately and on time.
- Conduct regular stock checks and work with external auditors to ensure accurate stock counts.
- Assist the Head Chef with supplier management, ensuring approved suppliers meet quality and safety standards.
- Complete all required paperwork, reports, and compliance checks in line with company policies.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports and support team development.
Essential Requirements
- Strong experience as a lead kitchen porter/ kitchen assistant, or similar role.
- Proven stock management skills with attention to accuracy and organisation.
- Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with chefs, managers, and colleagues.
- Positive, professional, and team-focused approach to work.

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week, 5 from 7 days, including evenings and weekends. Your main base will be our AXA Training Centre.
