- 1 year experience as a dental practice manager
- Experience working as a dental nurse
Heart Dental have an exciting position for a dental practice manager. As a Practice Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Reporting directly to the owner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards and fostering a positive, supportive environment for both patients and staff.
Your Role as a Practice Manager:
In this key role, you will be responsible for:
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day practice management, ensuring efficiency, full compliance with industry regulations, and seamless operations.
- Staff Supervision: Lead, manage, and inspire the team to achieve practice goals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Patient-centred Care: Champion a patient-first approach, ensuring that everyone who visits our practice receives the highest level of care and attention. Your dedication to patient satisfaction will help us maintain our reputation as a leading dental provider.
- Recruitment & HR: Lead the recruitment process, from identifying top talent to onboarding and staff development. Your HR expertise will help us attract and retain the best professionals in the industry, ensuring a cohesive and high-performing team.
- Compliance & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of health and safety, cross-infection control, and patient confidentiality. Your vigilance and knowledge of regulatory requirements, including GDPR, will ensure the practice remains compliant and secure.
- Technology Management: Oversee the use of dental software systems, including PRM and CRM, and ensure staff proficiency with tools like MS Excel and Word. Your ability to leverage technology will streamline operations and enhance patient care. Experience in Exact and DCME advantageous.
- Interaction & Collaboration: Facilitate open and effective interactions within the practice and with senior management and suppliers. Regularly organise practice meetings to align the team with our goals and ensure everyone is informed and engaged.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient care. Your proactive approach will drive the practice forward, keeping us at the forefront of dental care.
Key Competencies Required:
- Leadership- conflict resolution, confidentiality, professionalism, problem solving, crisis management, analytical thinking, problem solving, tenacity and drive
- Communication- active listener, empathetic, excellent verbal and written English, open and honest approach
- Business acumen- able to produce reports, experience working within budgets, attention to detail, experience in PRM and CRM systems, proficiency with MS Excel and Word, experience
- Compliance management-GDPR awareness, Health and Safety regulations and CQC knowledge
